Whether you’re hosting a wedding for 400 people, a dinner for five, stocking up for the season or you just want to try our latest vintage Bordeaux.
We love wine.
Clearly it’s our specialty but we try to keep everyone happy no matter your taste. From rare vintages to unexpected selections of quality and value from near and far–like our extensive Bordeaux selection, and offers on Bordeaux futures. If you’re looking for a special wine of a vintage or from a specific vineyard, we’ll do our best to get it for you–but we’re not only wine; we have a very impressive selection of Champagne, spirits, and a great selection of microbrews, for the most refined to the simplest of tastes, from a 25 year old scotch, 15 year old Bourbon, Extra Anejo Tequila or a 30 pack of Budweiser.
Owners John and Sheryl Callaghan also own Aquidneck Meat and Provisions in Middletown and Milk and Honey in Portsmouth. We provide advice on wine and food pairings and can assist with your next important dinner or party.

Our Story
John and Sheryl Callaghan purchased Bellevue Wine and Spirits in 2007, the year their daughter Cailin was born. John began his career in the wine business in 1984 as a salesperson for a wholesale wine company in Connecticut. In 1984 he established Vineyard Relations, a wine brokerage company based in Newport and New York City and was National Sales Manager for Ambassador John Loeb's, Sonoma-Loeb. Sheryl worked in the fashion industry in New York City from 1990 until 2006 as National Sales manager and finished as Import Manager to the US for clothing from China, Jordan and Turkey. With Cailin expected in June of 2007 they purchased Bellevue Wine and Spirits.
In 2014 they bought Milk and Honey originally located in Tiverton and opening soon in Middletown. In 2016 Sheryl and John purchased Aquidneck Meat & Provisions in Middletown which Sheryl now manages. It is a perfect pairing of love for food and wine.
In 2007 they blended their first vintage of Cailin's Cuvee. A blend of Zinfandel, Carignan, Petite Sirah and Syrah from select old vine vineyards in Mendocino Cailfornia. Cailin's Cuvee is available exclusively at Bellevue Wine and Spirits and select restaurants.

We offer free local delivery on orders of $50 or more to Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth, & Jamestown RI.
We are currently limited to shipping to the following states: Alaska, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Virginia, West Virginia, & Wyoming.
