Bellevue Wine & Spirits proprietor Mike Ritchie was featured in a recent Beverage
Retailer article. Bellevue Wine & Spirits was one of three wine establishments featured
in the article which informed readers how to prepare for events and the holiday
party season. The article touched on several special services BWS provides to their
customers including:
~ personalized wine selections
~ partnerships with other local merchants and caterers to provide wine tastings and dinners.
Beverage Retailer is a national magazine for wine, liquor and beer merchants.
the Martignetti Company. Each fall, the company extends a special invitation to the top professionals of New England's culinary and beverage community to attend a blind wine tasting in Boston.
Store owners Curt Richardson and Mike Ritchie were among the attendees who were presented with a selection of wines and then asked to identify each wine's vintage year, varietal grape and country of origin. Professionals who correctly identified these characteristics were recognized as Golden Palate award winners. More than thirty firms participated in the event. Only seven were named Golden Palate award winners. Results
of the tasting were publishing in the March edition of Rhode Island Beverage Journal.
